Specifications on Standards

Stark Centers are made from bearing quality 52100 steel, heat treated to 60-64 Rc, and guaranteed to have .0002 or less total-indicator-runout from the taper to the point. We also manufacture standard carbide tipped centers with 52100 steel shanks, hardened to 45-50 Rc, and half centers that feature a cut-away section for additional clearance for cutting tools, grinding wheels, and fixtures. We stock a HUGE inventory of Morse Taper, Brown & Sharpe, Jarno, Cincinnati lathe, Cincinnati tool and cutter grinder centers, and Schutte tool and cutter grinder centers.

Special Centers

Stark Industrial specializes in the manufacture of special dead centers. We have many specials currently in stock that may fit your application. Our design team will work with your drawing, reverse engineer your old center, or use your specifications to design a dead center that will make your setup more accurate and increase your rigidity.
